A nonprofit board of directors is an amazing mix of individuals, personalities, experiences and skills that come together with one focus – to make the nonprofit as effective and impactful as possible. All boards, no matter the mission, need to address and tackle some board basics. Board basics training should be repeated (in some form) every year so that everyone is on the same page, understanding the needs, responsibilities and complexities of what it means to be a board director.

This month we are going to begin the process of board basics. The topic is large so we will be returning to the subject often throughout the year.
