Tactical Plans
A tactical plan sets specific short-term actions and plans regarding the organization’s basic functioning for the next 12 to 18 months: board, committee, finances, and programming, and can be the key to making organizational progress with or without a strategic plan.
To think in terms of a tactical plan, the organizational leadership needs to think about the more practical elements such as the steps (purpose), acts (tactics), and results (objectives) bringing the ideal to real.
Tactical Plans Include:
- 4 hour training
- 2 to 4 hour planning session
- Final 12-month plan with goals
- Follow-up at 4 month mark
Strategic Plans
A strategic plan is a document used to communicate the organization’s long-term goals looking 3 to 5 years out, the actions (in big terms) that are needed to achieve those goals, and other critical elements needed in support of the goals stated.
In planning terms, the inspirational viewpoint aligns with a strategic plan. It contains your dream (vision), the journey (strategy), and destination (goal). All of these are key elements to an organization’s success.
Strategic Plans Include:
- 4 hour training
- 4 hour goal setting and plan development
- 8 hours of one-on-one stakehold discussions
- Maximum of 2 community discussion sessions
- Final 3 year plan with yearly goals identified
- Follow-up at 6-month mark
Fundraising Plans
A fundraising plan is a document used to identify key approaches to yearly fundraising including marketing materials, consistent outreach, individual donor acquisition and retention, grant writing, and appeal/event planning.
Fundraising Plans Include:
- 4 hour training
- 2 to 4 hour planning session
- Final fundraising plan with clearly stated goals
Marketing Plans
A marketing plan is a document used to identify key approaches to yearly marketing efforts including printed materials, email outreach, social media, and press releases. Marketing plans work to raise awareness of the organization, educate the community on your work and your mission, and create a foundation for future participation and financial contribution.
Marketing Plans Include:
- 4 hour training
- 2 to 4 hour planning session
- Final marketing plan with goals and 12 month layout of activities
